1. The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority has authorized the Institute to conduct Pre-licensing test for Insurance Surveyors & Loss Assessors, as required by the regulations.
2. Detailed information regarding syllabus, enrolment, examination fees, dates etc., is posted on the Institute’s website as well as on the IRDAI’s website www.irdai.gov.in.

4. This examination will be conducted through online mode with MCQ pattern i.e. four times in a year in the month of March, June, September, and December and the passing percentage is 60% (i.e. 60 marks out of 100 marks).
5. Persons enrolled with the IRDAI as trainee surveyors, (a) who have undergone the prescribed practical training and have submitted their quarterly training reports as per the norms to the IRDAI, and (b) as per guidelines received from IRDAI Circular Ref: IRDA/SUR/GDL/MISC/288/12/2020 dated 01.12.2021, are eligible to appear in the Pre-licensing Test for Insurance Surveyors & Loss Assessors.
Candidates can register, enroll, book the slot/subject, and make the payment for Surveyor Examination/Papers through the online option available on the Insurance Institute of India (III) website. (Candidates who have already registered for the Surveyors Exam need NOT register again and can continue with their registered number only.)
The registration fees for fresh candidates (one time) is Rs. 500/- and the exam fee is Rs. 500/- per subject plus applicable service tax.
