  • The central nervous system (CNS) consists of brain and spinal cord. Its main function is to seek information from the body and send out instructions.
  • The peripheral nervous system (PNS) consist of : Sensory neurons, Cluster of neurons called ganglia, Nerves that connect them to each other and to the central nervous system
  • The brain processes, interprets and integrates the information sent from the spinal cord. It has four main components : Cerebrum, Cerebellum, Thalamus, Hypothalamus
  • Cerebrum is the largest part of the brain that controls the voluntary actions, speech, senses thoughts and memories.
  • Cerebellum is located at the back of the brain, between cerebrum and the brain stem. It receives/relays information between body muscles and areas of cerebral cortex that are involved in motor control.
