Pre-diabetes is an intermediary stage between the healthy stage and the diabetic stage in an individual. Individuals who are diagnosed with pre-diabetes later on develop Type 2 diabetes.

The purpose of clinical review is : to check and advise on diabetic control, to look for evidence of diabetic complications, to monitor therapy
Applicants may be required to produce evidence of old medical records at the time of underwriting.
Underwriting risk selection would require carefully reviewing of blood reports and review of medical records to accurately assess the excess mortality risk in diabetic applicants.
