  • Secondary health care refers to the healthcare services provided by medical specialists and other health professionals who generally do not have first contact with patient.
  • Tertiary Health care - specialized consultative healthcare for inpatients and on referral from primary/secondary care providers.
  • Teritiary Health Care - Advanced Medical Facilities like Oncology (cancer treatment), Organ Transplant facilities, High risk pregnancy specialists etc. Present mostly in the state capitals and a few at the district headquarters
  • Family Floater - The sum insured floats among the family members. Family floaters usually cover husband, wife and children. Premium will normally be charged based on the age of the oldest member of the family proposed for insurance.
  • Cashless Facility - a facility extended by the insurer to the insured where the payments of the costs of treatment undergone by the insured are directly made to the network provider by the insurer.
